Torinoelettronic@ – Jupiter is my Compass

Jupiter is my Compass
(Torinoelettronic@)

I cut the wires, I pulled the plug today
The static from the Earth was getting in the way
They wanted fire, they wanted stars to bleed
But I’m just drifting now, I’ve got all I need.
The autopilot’s dead, the screens are dark and deep
But I’m just drifting now, I’ve got all I need.
The autopilot’s dead, the screens are dark and deep
While the rest of the world is fast asleep
I’m sailing by the feel, navigating by the soul
Giving back to the void all the things they stole.

My friends are gone, they tried to take it all
Thinking they were big, but the vacuum made ‘em small
They fought the cosmos with an iron fist
Now they’re just shadows lost in the stardust mist.
But I’m not lonely in this hollow shell I left behind that neon-lighted hell
I’m walking through the glass, through the crystal tubes
Wrapped in a silence that clears my blues.

And Jupiter is my compass, the heartbeat in the dark
A giant golden furnace, catching every spark
I don’t need the radar, I don’t need the light
You’re the only lighthouse in the middle of the night.
Yeah, Jupiter is my compass, I’m coming home to you
To the dance of the moons, where the peace is true.

The hallways feel like foam, every step is soft
Like walking on the snow while I’m held aloft
Floating through the ship, feeling like a ghost
Moving toward the planet that I love the most.
I’m bringing no gold, no flags to plant in the sand
Just a little bit of grace and a tired hand
But I know you’ll take me, like a father does a son
The mission is over, but the life has just begun.

Navigating by the heart…
No more orders, no more war.
Just the gas giant waiting at the door.
My compass… my home… Obrigado, Jupiter.
